Of course, verifying in field has it’s place, but when it’s used too much it can really drag a project down.

  • We use mobile mapping primarily for our measuring.

  • We collect information about the HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection and alarm systems within the building.

    Start does not have a survey, and the Lite and Pro version differ only in the depth of the information gathered. For instance, with Lite we only gather the main electrical utility size, but with Pro, we look at all the electrical components sizing and locating each.

  • Start - 1 week per day on site.

    Lite - 2 weeks per day on site.

    Pro - 3 weeks per day on site.

  • We send the files digitally via box.com link and provide a few months of access to download them.

    The virtual tour is delivered via box.com as well, and may be accessed for 1 year as a part of the initial service. Extensions are available, contact us at better@startmeasured.com.

  • Our specified accuracy target is LOA 30 and our specified detail target is LOD 200.

    This gives us a nice blend of speed and information that is useful at the early stages of a project.

    LOA = Level of Accuracy is specified as a range between a low and high number that the majority of measurements will reliably fall between. LOA 30 is approximately 1/4” - 1/2”.

    LOD = Level of Detail is specified as the amount of information in detail on a plan or in a drawing. LOD 200 is approximately a Schematic Level of Detail providing basic shapes and symbols of the building features at nominal dimensions and angles.

  • The best time to have a your building Measured is before the design begins, but the next best time is right now.

    If you’re late in design get an as-built to verify and ensure assumptions haven’t been made.

    If you’re in construction, use the scan to validate that the design has been built to your drawings and specifications.

  • You don’t… until you experience our process and deliverables for yourself.

    But, Measured is owned by a 20-year architect doing building surveys for 15 years for many satisfied clients and client types.
